These dorms hold a special place with their reputations. While I might harbor some envy due to my previous dorm's less favorable conditions, I'm presenting green beans. Picture them as the kind that are simply steamed in the microwave and seasoned with just salt. They're decent, but no one is likely to choose this dish first. It's a reminder of the differences between the dorms and the experiences they offer.
Each dorm has its own charm, and these green beans symbolize a part of the Azalea and Magnolia experience. They might not be the most exciting, but they hold a certain significance for those who call this dorm home.
Dorman and Deviney have distinct reputations, much like two young kids at a family Thanksgiving. One causing trouble while the other follows. Sweet potato casserole seems fitting for them. Personally, I find this dish rather unappealing, but it's a popular choice among many. If you live in Dorman or Deviney, you get this dish as a part of the Thanksgiving spread.
The contrast between the reputations and the chosen dish adds an interesting element. It shows how these dorms are more than just buildings but have their own identities and associated foods.
There's something about Landis Hall that gives off a stuck-up vibe. It's not just the fact that it's mostly honors students; there's a certain aura. Maybe it's the location or the stories. As a result, you get moldy toast. It's a somewhat unexpected choice, but it's what Landis residents have to deal with.
This moldy toast becomes a symbol of the unique experience of living in Landis. It's a small detail that adds to the overall character of the dorm.
As one of the apartment-style dorms with mostly upperclassmen, Ragans deserves something special. Grilled carrots with a delicious charred flavor enhance the fact that they are carrots. They also offer the added benefit of potentially improving eyesight after years of staring at laptops for class.
The choice of grilled carrots reflects the maturity and lifestyle of the Ragans residents. It's a dish that suits their environment and experiences.
Living in DeGraff comes with its own set of challenges. From the location across the street to the view of the Tallahassee Strip, it's a unique experience. Turkey, a classic main course, is my favorite part of Thanksgiving. I think DeGraff residents deserve to have this delicious dish.
Turkey becomes a centerpiece for the DeGraff community, representing the shared moments and traditions of Thanksgiving.
You guys are simply perfect. Mashed potatoes are the ideal treat for you. Whether they are the smoothest or have little chunks and bits of skin, you deserve the mashed potatoes of your dreams. It's a simple yet satisfying dish that brings joy to the Thanksgiving table.
Mashed potatoes symbolize the harmony and comfort of this particular dorm community. They add to the overall festive atmosphere.
Pillsbury Flaky Layers Biscuits are a Wasserman family classic. They are easy to make and come out hot, fresh, and buttery. Pulling the layers apart as you eat them makes it even more fun. These biscuits are the highlight of my Thanksgiving every year.
For the Wildwood residents, these biscuits represent a taste of home and a special moment during Thanksgiving.
My favorite forgettable dorm! Despite its somewhat overlooked status, Broward has a great location. As a reward for having to explain its location often, you get ham. It's an underrated main course that many passionate people believe is better than turkey.
Ham becomes a symbol of the unique charm of Broward. It's a dish that stands out and adds to the dorm's identity.
Mac and cheese is a beloved dish that had to be included. The wonderful Cawthon residents deserve nothing but the best. Share these cheesy delights with the ghosts, as they too might enjoy a taste of this comfort food.
Mac and cheese represents the warmth and indulgence of the Cawthon community. It's a dish that brings people together.
Traditions Hall is the best apartment-style dorm on campus. With only two roommates, you get to enjoy a kitchen and a great location. A vegetable platter with celery, carrots, and cherry tomatoes allows you to have a healthy option with your Thanksgiving feast. And don't forget the dipping sauce of your choice!
The vegetable platter embodies the refined and comfortable lifestyle of the Traditions residents. It's a balanced addition to the meal.
My ideal Thanksgiving appetizer! Mozzarella sticks are truly the greatest thing ever invented. My Gilchrist baddies deserve something so superb. They are easy to love and add a delicious start to the Thanksgiving meal.
Mozzarella sticks become a symbol of the indulgence and enjoyment of the Gilchrist community. They set the tone for the festive gathering.
Stuffing, my beloved! It makes Thanksgiving more bearable. Despite the distinct prison energy from the bars covering the building, you deserve some stuffing. It's a comforting dish that adds to the holiday spirit.
Stuffing represents the coziness and togetherness of the Rogers community. It's a part of the Thanksgiving tradition that brings people closer.
I'm so jealous of the little two-story townhome situation at Mccollum. Cranberry sauce is the only thing I'm giving you, but it's a classic that can be enhanced with your own creations in the kitchen on the first floor.
Cranberry sauce becomes a symbol of the unique charm of Mccollum. It's a small but important part of the Thanksgiving experience.
You're almost free! One more semester, and you can experience life outside of Salley. A cake frosted with pink buttercream and the words "Congratulations on surviving your first semester in Salley Hall" will make this Thanksgiving even more special. And hugs to make it even better!
Cakes and hugs represent the hope and celebration of the Salley community. It's a way to mark the end of a semester and look forward to the future.
Remember, you're all welcome at my Thanksgiving table. Enjoy these dorm-inspired treats and make this Thanksgiving a memorable one!
