Keep a watchful gaze on the cliffside to your right, and you'll soon spot a cave that leads directly to the dungeon's entrance.If you're having trouble locating Bonny Village, start from the Highroad Cross site of grace, just after Ensis Castle. Head east until you reach the Moorth Ruins site of grace, where you can meet Dryleaf Dane and learn about his Dryleaf Arts. From there, continue east until you find a hole in the ruins, descend through it, and you'll emerge in Bonny Village, the gateway to Bonny Gaol.

Navigating the Treacherous Depths of Bonny Gaol

As you step into Bonny Gaol, you'll be greeted by a variety of challenges, from pot-wielding enemies to hidden ambushes. The key to success lies in your ability to navigate the dungeon's intricate layout and uncover its many secrets.Upon entering, you'll spot a pot person across the way. These foes may not be particularly tough, but their long-range attacks can be a nuisance. Approach them cautiously, either sniping from a distance or quickly dispatching them up close.Proceed with caution, as the path ahead holds more surprises. To your left, you'll find two pots hanging over the edge, which you can use as platforms to descend. The room below contains a shade hiding behind a pot, guarding a pair of Frozen Maggots. Further down the path, a Pot Person lies in wait, ready to ambush you from the left.Continuing on, you'll encounter another Pot Person hiding on the right side of the next room, but this one guards a valuable Hefty Cracked Pot, perfect for taking down Furnace Golems.Return to the path and stand on the button to make the platform descend, then ride it up to the three doors that lead to the rest of the gaol. The first room, just before the pot lifts, contains a shade and a hidden Pot Person to the right. The second room holds another shade and a frozen maggot, while the third room at the end of the path leads to a dining room with caged enemies and a treasure trove of Bolts.

Navigating the Bonny Gaol Caves

Delving deeper into Bonny Gaol, you'll find yourself in a network of caves and tunnels, each with its own set of challenges and rewards. Start by heading east, where you'll encounter a cave full of rats and a Smithing Stone [3] on the right side.Climb the ladder and prepare for a Pot Person to attack you from the front. In this room, you'll find the Stalwart Horn Charm+2, a valuable addition to your arsenal.Return to the cave and explore the two branching paths. The path dead ahead will lead you to a Broken Rune, while the left path will take you to an Invigorating Cured Meat and the rest of the gaol. Regardless of which path you choose, you'll have to contend with a group of Skeletal Slimes, which can be effectively dealt with using fire, area-of-effect attacks, or heavy hits from a greatsword.Jump down the sewer into the lower level of the basement, where you'll find a large cavern teeming with Living Jar enemies. Approach this room cautiously, as there are three large Living Jars and a dozen smaller ones. From the Lost Ashes of War in this room, you can also snipe a Pot Person blocking an item.Continuing through the cavern, you'll enter a room filled with pots, with an Innard Meat item in plain sight. But beware, as a Pot Person will ambush you from the left as you approach the item. Defeat this foe, then watch your flank as another Pot Person crawls out of a broken pot, guarding a Raw Meat Dumpling.

Navigating Bonny Gaol's Second Stage

After traversing the caves, you'll emerge into the second stage of Bonny Gaol. Head left down the path and you'll find a skeleton with a Silver Horn Tender in an alcove to your left. Proceed to eliminate the three Shades overlooking the path's edge.Continue through the rooms, which will be populated by even more Shades, until you reach a balcony with a pot elevator. Ride the elevator all the way to the top, where you'll find a complete set of Night armor, including the Helm, Armor, Gauntlets, and Greaves. This lightweight set is perfect for medium builds.Climb the stairs and you'll encounter a Pot Person guarding the final piece of the Night set, the Shield of Night. Defeat this foe to claim the complete set.Return to the edge and drop down to the pot elevator, then drop again to reach the original pot elevator. Take it to the bridge below, where a Shade awaits. But this is a trap, as a Pot Person will burst from the pot beside the Shade, and another will ambush you from the pot at the end of the bridge. Eliminate these threats and proceed to the fog gate at the end of the corridor, where a final Pot Person will jump out of an alcove to ambush you.

Defeating Curseblade Labirith

The final challenge in Bonny Gaol is the boss, Curseblade Labirith. This agile dancer-like enemy has the unique ability to quickly flood the arena with darkness, making the fight a true test of your skills.While parrying Labirith may be challenging, you can use auto-lock to track its movements around the chamber. When it approaches, be prepared to dodge or guard its series of fast attacks. If you can successfully dodge, a heavy attack can be particularly punishing due to Labirith's low health pool.To increase your chances of success, consider using light armor, the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, and a Physik made of Opaline Bubbletear and Opaline Hardtear. Long weapons like pikes can also help you make up the difference, and the Great Katana is a viable option as well.Spirit Ashes like Greatshield Soldier can be a valuable asset, as they'll occupy Labirith, allowing you to focus on your attacks. Sorceries like Carian Phalanx and Stars of Ruin can also trivialize the fight, as they can track Labirith through the darkness.Once you've defeated Curseblade Labirith, you'll be rewarded with the Spirit Ash Curseblade Meera, a valuable addition to your arsenal.
